Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. Our practice utilizes the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve.

Every smile starts with an initial consultation!

Your first visit to our orthodontic office is an exciting time! It should also be a stress-free time for you to gather information to make the best decision for yourself or your family. This visit is a chance for us to get acquainted and for you to learn about the treatments and services we offer. Please plan to spend at least an hour with us during this complimentary appointment. That’s to ensure that no one has to rush and that you get plenty of time to ask any questions you may have. During your initial consultation, we will:

  • Review your dental and medical history forms
  • Provide a complete oral exam to determine whether treatment is necessary
  • Help you create a customized treatment plan
  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial consultation.

What to Expect…

You will be greeted by one of the friendly faces of our team. Our Treatment Coordinator, Jennifer, will gather some preliminary information and take photographs of the teeth in their present state to allow us a visual aid for our discussion.  Next, Dr. Kurth will perform a careful examination by both looking in the mouth and asking some questions that will allow us to make a proper diagnosis and finalize our treatment plan.
A big part of our job today is to determine what treatment, if any, is necessary to correct any problems we may find — and whether we should begin now, or wait until a later time.  Treatment start times will depend on the developmental stage of the teeth and jaws. In some cases, we’ll advise you to return for a periodic checkup until we determine when it’s the best time to start. Whether you’re starting now or later, we can answer questions, review treatment choices and discuss what to expect at the different stages of the process.

Lastly, we will explain our fees, discuss any orthodontic insurance coverage you may have, and what payment options are available that suit your needs best. We look forward to working with you through this exciting journey!

What happens after the initial consultation?

If you’re ready to get started, we will take diagnostic records with our state of the art technology using digital radiography and digital scans (that’s right, no more impressions). This can be done conveniently for you at your consultation appointment or at your next visit. Then we get started with the treatment of your choice.
